Besieged by Grace is born from a lifetime of experience. Over the past 40 years, I’ve had the privilege of companioning communities preparing to celebrate some of life’s most emotional and intimate moments of transition. I have had the honor of assisting couples preparing for marriage, of walking with families in grief, and leading retreats for children and families getting ready for sacraments. I have found that times such as these call for new and creative ways to express the deepest desires of our hearts for love and grace. My passion for good ritual— the elegant and reverent use of symbol brought to life through well-choreographed movement—is the driving force behind all of it. Less formal and academic, Besieged by Grace is more of a back door approach – relaxed, enjoyable and familiar. I believe folks have an innate spirituality that is grounded in their own experience. Together, we will break open the symbol through fun and brainstorming followed by a gentle and tender handling in a reflective setting to surface deeper layers of meaning. When broken open in playful and reverent ways, the depth of their significance can never be exhausted.
